History - Himachal Dental College

It starts date back to 1992 when Dr. V. K. Gupta the present chairman thought of an idea to start a dental college for the students of Himachal Pradesh this hill station the state of gods and goddesses. After various hiccups the college finally took of in 1993 and after getting due recognition from Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh & Dental Council of India the college was recognized in 1999. Dr. Gupta a never tiring personality by this time had planned another institute of a bigger magnitude at Ponta Sahib – the most Auspicious & religious Place for Sikh Community and in general. This institute Himachal institute of Dental Sciences and research has an intake of 100 students every year and is now in the 5th year of its inception.
